PhD Water Research
Dr Georgina Wood has worked closely with Papplewick Pumping Station over the past four years as part of her PhD research into Water Literacy, Education and Citizenship. The work explored existing forms of water education in the East Midlands and assessed how social influences affect young peoples’ attitudes, values and behaviour towards water and how through new forms of teaching these attitudes could be changed to produce a more water literate citizen.
In March 2014 Georgina was awarded her PhD and we are delighted to host a summary of her work here on the Pumping Station's website.
